Itaewon Tongue & Groove Joint Entrance

I went to Tongue & Groove Joint.
The restaurant in Itaewon that was introduced in the Michelin Guide Seoul 2023.

From the exterior, it is reminiscent of a pub or cafe rather than a barbecue restaurant.
As soon as you enter the entrance, the staff will kindly guide you.

 

We made a reservation because there were a lot of people.
And the neatly placed cutlery and side dishes made us feel like we were being treated.

 

There are five basic side dishes: pickle radish, cucumber pepper, seasoned lettuce, cabbage kimchi, and pickle celery.

It was impressive to see that the various tastes of the customers were taken into account to capture the greasy taste of the meat.

I think we ate more than 6 plates of seasoned lettuce.. haha

 

 

The interior of Itaewon Tongue & Groove Joint was perfect for a gathering or a dinner party, just like a restaurant in Itaewon.

 

There are rooms as well as halls, so if you want a quiet atmosphere, it would be a good idea to reserve a room in advance. (Room charge 50,000 won)
I don't know if there is one employee, but I want to know why the room charge is so expensive.

Beef is aged for at least 21 days, and lamb is less than 12 months old.

 

 


3 chunks below are Korean beef sirloin, 1 chunk is Korean beef tenderloin.
The color is very nice.

Now that the meat is cooked, have a highball with friends haven't seen in a long time.

 

 

The type of highball is a golden blue double shot highball.

It is a K-highball aimed at the MZ generation with Golden Blue's unique manufacturing know-how, and carbonated water is mixed with Scottish whiskey undiluted.
(Recommended for those who do not like lemon or lime flavor) Next, I ordered lamb ribs.

The sauce is served with cilantro pesto made by Tongue & Grove Joint, and it tastes just like lamb skewers.

 

 

Next, I ordered pork belly, kimchi fried rice, soybean paste stew and kimchi stew. T he pork belly was so delicious.
I don't have a picture because it was cooked at the next table.

But it was really good.

The taste is delicious, but the service and atmosphere are all in harmony, so wouldn't it have been introduced in the Michelin Guide in Seoul?
